Credible Taxonomy Canada

Canada is embarking on the development of a sustainable finance taxonomy.

Done well, this framework can serve as a common language for companies, investors, and policy makers – driving capital towards genuine climate solutions, while making our economy more secure and resilient.

The success of Canada’s taxonomy depends on its credibility and scientific accuracy.

A credible taxonomy must be consistent with science-based pathways to net-zero.

Credible Taxonomy Canada is led by Environmental Defence Canada, Shift: Action for Pension Wealth and Planet Health, Climate Action Network – Réseau action climat Canada, and West Coast Environmental Law. The Principles for a Credible Canadian Taxonomy are endorsed by and in collaboration with additional organizations.
